Description:

Manufactured circa 1863-1878. These conversion revolvers were dubbed as the "Improved Navy" revolvers. The converted revolvers were either factory converted or Navy converted with a new six shot .38 cylinder and a loading gate and side rod ejector installed on the right side of the barrel and frame. The top barrel flat is marked: "PATENTED SEPT. 14. 1858/E.REMINGTON & SONS. ILION. NEW YORK. U.S.A/NEW-MODEL". The serial numbers "1150/41328" are located on the bottom barrel flat and left side of the frame under the grip, both match with 328 on the trigger guard. Pinch blade front sight and grooved top strap rear sight. Nickel plated with a casehardened hammer and finished with oiled walnut grips.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. The pistol retains 85% plus of the frosted nickel finish and has small some areas of oxidation on the exposed areas including on the top of the frame and front left of the barrel. Some brass is showing through on the trigger guard. The grips are also very fine with small marks and dings and a faint crack on the bottom right rear. The action is fine.
