Description:

The Swedish military used the Model 1871 from 1871 to 1890. This six shot revolver is one of only 500 made and has a smooth cylinder marked "HUSQVARNA" after a "B" triangular inspection mark. The same marking is also on the top of the barrel and the front grip strap (minus the inspection mark). The sides of the frame below the cylinder are marked with the inspection mark with the serial number also marked on the left side. The matching serial number is also marked on the rear face of the cylinder and "410" is marked on and under the grip panels. It has integral blade front and frame groove sights and is fitted with checkered hardwood grips and a lanyard ring. The grip strap is offset to the right and therefore the left pane is significantly thicker than the right. Both have a crowned marking on the top.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The revolver retains 50% of the blue finish primarily on the frame and cylinder with a brown patina on the balance and various small dings and scratches throughout. The grips are good with sharp checkering and glossy varnish as well as some small dents and scratches. Mechanically functions when level, does not when muzzle elevated, needs hand spring. Clear markings.
