This unique small cadet musket features the mark of Austrian arms manufacturer Anna Oesterlein on the top of the barrel at the breech below a "B". The barrel tang is marked "54" with additional small marks on the barrel bands. It features a blade front sight that the front barrel band fits around and a notch sight on the upper tang. The firing mechanism is a pellet primed by means of a replaced pan and cover in place of a frizzen. The guns is just 45 3/8th inches long in total length with a short 11 3/8ths length of pull. It is fitted with a full length straight wrist stock with a cheek rest.
