Manufactured between 1945 and 1957, this Police model rifle has factory installed swivels, extended higher capacity magazine, a blade front sight and an elevation adjustable rear sight. This is a very capable model that was once use by various military forces in World War I in Europe and by law enforcement and outlaws stateside. Members of the posses who hunted down the Dillinger gang and Bonnie and Clyde were reportedly armed with 351 Winchester rifles. Model 1907s can be seen in the hands of the Dillinger gang and law enforcement in several scenes of the 2009 hit film "Public Enemies." The "W/P" in an oval proofmark is stamped on the top rear of the barrel and on the top front of the receiver. Mounted on a smooth walnut beavertail forearm and plain pistol grip stock with serrated steel buttplate.

Excellent. The rifle retains 97% plus of the original finish with some scratches and marks. The wood is also very fine with only minor dings and marks. Mechanically excellent.
