This is a very fine example of a WWI German Artillery Luger pistol rig that includes the walnut shoulder stock and a 1917 dated leather holster. The chamber area is dated 1916 with the front toggle marked with the "DWM" logo. The right side of the barrel extension has the three Crown/Script proofs next to the Imperial Eagle proofs. The frame, left side of the barrel extension and underside of the barrel all have the same matching serial number (5308) with the last two digits (08) stamped on the various smaller parts. It has the standard Gesichert and Geladen marked on the safety and extractor. It is fitted with the correct 8 inch artillery length barrel with the standard front sight and the correct matching artillery Luger type tangent rear sight marked 1-8 (100-800 meters). Both sights have the desirable "fine tune" adjustments. It is complete with one WWI magazine with tin plated body, wooden base, and a single Crown proof. Complete with an original walnut shoulder stock and attaching iron. The stock has a single "Crown" proof on the left side and the attaching iron is numbered "3742a" on top of the iron. The stock is complete with the top leather holster strap and lower boot strap and cover. The holster as noted is stamped on the lower edge of the flap:"FRANZHERMANN/ERFURT/1817". The holster is complete with a steel cleaning rod with a wooden handle.
