Manufactured in 1924. The top of the barrel is marked with the two line address/1884, 1900 and 1905 patent dates, the left side is marked "NEW SERVICE 45 COLT" and the Rampant Colt appears on the left side of the frame. The matching serial number is marked on the frame and crane. Standard blade front and frame notch rear sights, all blue finish with hammer sides polished and fitted with checkered hard rubber grips with "COLT" in an oval at the top. Each grip panel is numbered to the gun. Comes with the original maroon hinged lid box numbered to the gun.

Near new in original box. The revolver retains 99% plus original blue finish showing only a very faint cylinder drag line and light handling/storage marks. The grips are also excellent with only the very slightest handling wear and sharp checkering. The markings are sharp and the action is excellent. The box is very good with some tape repaired corners, heavy edge and corner wear and some barely noticeable missing material.
