Manufactured in 1931. The top of the barrel is marked with the two line Hartford address/1884, 1900 and 1905 patent dates. The left side of the barrel is marked "NEW SERVICE 38 W.C.F." The Rampant Colt is marked on the left rear of the frame behind the cylinder latch. The matching serial number is stamped on the inside of the frame and crane. The revolver has the standard clipped blade front sight and frame notch rear sight. Blue finish, polished hammer sides and fitted with checkered walnut grips with silver Colt Medallions and a lanyard loop on the butt. Comes with the original maroon hinged lid box numbered to the gun and "Special Instructions" pamphlet.

Near new in original box. The revolver retains 99% plus original blue finish with a light cylinder drag line, a few tiny dings on the barrel and light handling/storage marks. The grips are also excellent with some very mild handling wear and sharp checkering. The markings are sharp. The action is excellent. The box is very good with some mild wear, a couple small minor repairs and some cracking in the material.
