Manufactured in 1941 (receiver). It is chambered in 220 Swift, a special order caliber for standard pre-64 Model 70 carbines. Hooded ramp front sight and elevation adjustable rear sight. The barrel has the Winchester legend on the left side and the barrel and receiver have a Winchester factory style oval proof. Receiver tapped for scope mounting at the front and sight mounting on the rear left side. Polished bolt numbered to the gun, solid bolt knob, pre-war safety and sling swivels. Nicely figured pistol grip stock with checkering and a checkered steel buttplate.

Very fine as professionally refurbished/restored. The carbine retains nearly all of the blue finish showing the slightest handling marks. The stock is also very fine with crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
