This engraved Merwin Hulbert pocket revolver with the address and patent markings in two lines on the top of the barrel and the "38 CAL" marking on the left side above the trigger. The revolver features a scroll/punch dot (possibly factory, definitely of the period of manufacture) engraving on the frame, 5 shot cylinder, and barrel. It features a half moon blade front sight and frame groove rear sight, lanyard ring on the butt, and a folding spur hammer with the patent date marked on the right side. The serial numbers on the barrel, cylinder, and under the left side grip panel it is marked "7901" likely for the assembly number. The grips are smooth pearl.

Fine. The revolver retains some traces of the blue finish on the barrel with an otherwise silver patina and the frame and grip straps and frame retain 25% of the finish with an otherwise silver to aged gray patina on the exposed surfaces. The cylinder has a gray-brown patina with a darker brown patina in the flutes. There are various minor marks and some pitting throughout. The pearl grips are very fine with some signs of age near the butt and otherwise only light handling/storage marks. Mechanically fine.
