This example has a 6 1/2 inch barrel and 1 9/16 inch long cylinder. The revolver has a nickel finish, short ejector housing, and the spurred trigger guard. Grips are checkered hard rubber with the S&W monogram at the top. The pistol has a pinned half-moon blade front sight. The rear sight is a small notch mounted on the barrel latch. The barrel rib is marked with the two line address and patent information. The right side of the frame has the S&W trade mark. The matching serial number is located on the butt, rear face of the cylinder, the barrel, and the barrel catch.

Rating Definition:

Very good as replated. The revolver has a mixture of patchy nickel finish with a variety of tin like tones on the balance and a variety of minor marks. (almost has a chrome-like appearance). The grips are very good with only some light wear on the bottom edges and have aged to a chocolate appearance. Mechanically excellent with clear markings.
