This example has a 6 1/2 inch barrel and a replaced 1 9/16 inch long cylinder. The revolver has a blue finish and short ejector housing with checkered walnut grips without the S&W monogram. The pistol has a pinned half-moon blade front sight. The rear sight is a small notch mounted on the barrel latch. The barrel rib is marked with the two line address and patent information. The matching serial number is located on the butt, the barrel, and the barrel catch while the cylinder is numbered "1127" (not uncommon for Japanese Contract guns).
