The Model 21 represents the top of the line in Winchester's domestic double barrel production. This example was produced in the late 1940s or early 1950s with a front bead sight and left rear barrel marked "WINCHESTER-20 GAUGE/ 2 3/4". The serial number is marked on the upper tang and the matching number is marked on the barrel flat, the forend, and the forend release. The water table is marked on the left "MADE IN U.S.A. MODEL 21/WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO/NEW HAVEN, CONN." with the patent information on the right. The water table and barrels have the Winchester oval proof with the left barrel marked for full choke and the right marked for modified choke and "WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL" on both. The trigger guard plate is unmarked. It has 2 3/4 inch chambers with ejectors and single selective trigger. It is mounted with a multi-point checkered walnut beavertail forearm with checkered pistol grip stock and a flat checkered buttplate. The length of pull is 14 1/8 inches. It includes a mutton takedown case.

Excellent. The shotgun retains 90% of the original finish with some edge wear, minor wear at the breach, some minor scratches on the bottom of the frame, a brown patina forming on the lower tang/trigger guard, white residue on the buttplate, and some overall light handling/storage marks. The wood is also excellent with some minor scratches and slight dents. Mechanically excellent.
