Description:

Post-war production at the FN-Browning plant resumed in 1948, and the 20 gauge was not available until 1949. The factory letter confirms that this shotgun was manufactured in Belgium during the first year of production and was shipped on October 7, 1949 to Kerr Sport Shop Inc. in Beverly Hills, CA with early features including: a raised solid rib, barrels choked modified and full, and a field stock. It also has a smaller engraving pattern, and the St. Louis addressed barrels have a single nickel bead sight along with 2 3/4 inch chambers with ejectors. The "field stock" is composed of a straight grain, multi-point checkered walnut forearm and round knob pistol grip stock and is fitted with a Browning marked, vented, rubber recoil pad. The length of pull is 14 1/4 inches. It also includes a suede, Browning, latching, hard case with key.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as refinished with a small indentation on the barrel rib. The stock is excellent with glossy finish and crisp, well defined checkering and a recoil pad replacing the original butt plate. Case is very good. Mechanically excellent.
