Description:

Designed to be carried on the back of an assistant gunner, the field mount for the MG34 machine gun could be rapidly unfolded to serve as an adjustable tripod or as the base for an anti-aircraft pintle mount (not included). Marked "eat" and "43/448/h" on top with a gray over red paint finish overall, brown painted traverse mechanism dated "1940", green anodized small components (recoil damper, optic mount, etc), "No 6." in red paint on the right side of the body, a pair of leather shoulder straps and two leather covered pads on the front leg. With a brown paint finished anti-aircraft post, mount and "spider web" pattern aircraft sight.

Rating Definition:

Fine overall, showing mild wear and handling marks. The body and traverse mechanism housing do not lock into place, and the traverse knob is in need of adjustment. The anti-aircraft equipment is in fine shape.
