Description:

The right side of the frame is marked "WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER/OBERNDORF A NECKAR." with the top of the chamber area marked "WAFFENFABRIK/MAUSER/OBERNDORF A/N.". The Mauser "crown/U" proofmark is located on the left side of the barrel extension and again on the top, left side of the bolt. It is fitted with standard 23 groove grips which have the large number "9" on each side that has been filled with red paint. The front of the magazine well has the standard Imperial Eagle proofmark. Visible serial numbers are matching. The pistol is complete with a correct style combination walnut shoulder stock/holster which is numbered (407) to this pistol and the leather harness that is stamped with a makers mark over "STUTTGART 1918" with a Weimer era boxed "LZ.St.Stgt.". It is complete with the cleaning rod.

Rating Definition:

Excellent with 95% of the original wartime blue finish overall with minor wear present on the sides of the frame/magazine well, the frame rails, sides of the barrel and grip straps. Mechanically excellent. The stock is in fine condition with a 20% of the blue finish on the metal components with a light brown color overall, wood having been lightly reoiled. There is a small age crack starting on the left side flat in front of the hinge. The leather harness is in very fine condition with tight stitching and a nice medium brown color overall with clear markings.
