1) Village Blacksmith brand knife, 15 3/8 inches long with a 9 3/4 inch clip point blade, steel hilt with "gear" knuckle guard and cord wrapped handle. With a brown leather sheath. 2) Au Lion-brand 1918 pattern dagger, 11 1/8 inches long with a 6 3/8 inch double edged blade, brass hilt, metal sheath and canvas carrier. The carrier was made out of a section of G.I. web belt and a bootlace (possibly a field improvisation) and the left side of the guard has been cut down to match. 3) U.S. L.F.&C. 1918 dagger, 11 1/4 inches overall with a 6 1/2 inch blade, brass hilt, steel pommel nut and a "U.S.M.C./1943" marked Barwood sheath with throat staple and tip plates. 4) Unmarked dagger made from an old socket bayonet, 14 inches long with an 8 1/4 inch triangular spike, ribbed rubber grip, steel knuckle guard and a 1 1/4 inch "skull crusher" pommel spike. With a steel and leather sheath. 5) Unmarked dagger, 13 3/4 inches long, 8 1/2 inch blade, alloy grip with brass rivets marked "SGT. JOHN POTTER" on the rear, and a leather sheath marked "Good Luck Pal" on the rear.

Rating Definition:

1) Very good, with a brown patina overall and some light dents and handling marks. Light wear is present on the sheath. 2) Fair, with some pitting and cleaning marks on the blade. The hilt is good as noted, with a small crack on the right side of the guard, and the carrier is fair with mild staining. 3) Good, with some light spotting and wear on the steel parts, a well-aged patina on the brass, and some scuffs and stains on the leather. 4) Good. The blade has been machine ground/sharpened, with some rust and spotting. The guard is braised to the spike. Mild wear overall. 5) Good, with a mixed brown and gray blade patina, heavy cracking and scuffing of the leather, and mild handling marks overall.
