This rifle was in manufactured 1922 with standard markings including the proofs at the breech. It features the contoured receiver, a blade front sight with insert, a filler block in place of the rear sight, and a receiver mounted Lyman adjustable peep sight with folding peep insert. The straight grip stock has a crescent buttplate and the smooth forearm has a Schnabel tip with contrasting ebony insert.

Very good as partially refinished. The rifle retains 50% of the blue finish with nearly all the finish remaining on the barrel which has a little bit of varnish behind the rear sight block on the right. The markings on the barrel have some bright wear but all visible markings are legible. There is some thinning and wear on the frame which has a golden brown patina on the exposed surfaces. The buttplate has a gray-brown patina. The sanded and revarnished wood is good with some thinning of the varnish on the left side of the forend and otherwise only a few scruffs and dings. Mechanically excellent.
