Desirable World War II M1 Carbine Converted to a Fully Automatic Class III/NFA Machine Gun

This is a very nice example of a very early, Inland manufacture M1 carbine that has been converted to a fully automatic "M2" carbine using the correct M2 components. This carbine has the desirable early 5 digits serial number and was probably manufactured in mid 1942. The front receiver ring is marked "U.S. CARBINE/CAL .30 M1", and the rear is marked "INLAND DIV." over "13229". It has been fitted with an unmarked replacement barrel with a slightly larger OD, (probably for fully automatic use). It has various late production features like the round bolt, type three barrel band, adjustable "PI" marked, milled, rear sight; flip safety, and late M2 style magazine catch with the secondary catch on the end. It has the correct pot-belly M2 style stock with the oval slot cut for the oiler and a two rivet handguard. It is complete with a muzzle break and green canvas sling but no magazine.

ConditionVery fine as arsenal refurbished and later converted to fully automatic with 90% of the dark parkerizing remaining overall. The revarnished stock and handguard are also both in fine condition and have been very nicely refinished and show no handling marks and have not been heavily sanded. The left side receiver side-wall has been cut through, rewelded and remachined to look and probably function correctly. A very fine example to have in your collection and or use on the range. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), Class 3, Fully Automatic Weapon, that is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATF) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478. Before bidding on this weapon, it is the sole responsibility and obligation of the bidder to understand and comply with all the State and Federal transfer laws and restrictions that apply in their current place of residence.
