Description:

This is a very rare WWII Russian PPS-43 submachine manufactured in 1944. These were the war-expedient version of the PPSH-41 that used almost all stamped steel parts and assemblies with a steel machined bolt, barrel and trunnion block. These were highly effective when used by the Russians in mass assaults against the Germans during Stalingrad as they had a high rate of fire (700 rpm). They used the standard 30 round stick magazine. The top of the receiver is marked: "C/1944/ CU 636". The "C" represented the WWII Russian State factory code. It has the original hard plastic grips, folding stock and one 30 round magazines. As noted this weapon is currently registered as a class III/NFA weapon, and has been deactivated by welding the chamber and breech area of the barrel.

Rating Definition:

Arsenal refurbished and deactivated with 95% of a crudely applied black repainted exterior surface. A highly desirable WWII Russian SMG that is rarely encountered for sale in the United States.
