Description:

This is a very nice example of an original WWII British STEN SMG that has been DEWATED that is currently listed as a unserviceable weapon transferred as a C&R weapon. The British STEN is an iconic weapon that belongs in every SMG collection. There were literally thousands of these weapons manufactured during WWII that remained in service with Great Britain all the way up to the 1970s as reserve weapons in many countries. They were very simple and cheap to manufacture while still being very reliable and easy to maintain in the field. At the time they cost around $9.00 to produce and were used by all British forces, OSS and SOE units. This one is marked on the magazine housing "STEN MKII" with serial number "S9379" over S&S, with a British Broad Arrow proof mark. This scarce weapon is complete with an earlier steel loop buttstock, two stick magazines, a spare demilitarized trigger housing, original sling, trigger guard, a reproduction operators manual, and two cans of custom British Black spray paint. Housed in a custom storage crate that has been stenciled on the inside of the lid with: "STEN MkII/British Broad Arrow proof mark". This weapon has been deactivated by welding a steel plug inside the chamber and then welding the barrel to the barrel bushing inside the receiver.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with 98% of the dipped blue refinished after being demilitarized. The various parts all look to be in very fine condition that may be fully restorable.
