Description:

This is an opportunity for someone to obtain a M30 Luftwaffe Drilling metal storage case. These were probably subcontracted out to a smaller subcontractor for the Krieghoff factory to store and ship their beautifully produced M30 drilling rifles in that they produced for the Luftwaffe. It is very rare to find one of these on the loose as most stayed with the drilling rifles or were destroyed after WWII as scrap aluminum. The outside of the case has the correct style gray painted finish with the correct style black markings stenciled on the lid. It has the two outside latches and heavy leather carrying strap on the front. Inside it has the various original and correct compartments, with the felt lining on top of the wooden blocks to protect the drilling rifle and various accessories, (obviously none of which are included with the case). Inside the lid it has the listing of the contents as originally issued with the drilling rifles.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with 80% plus of the paint on the outside of the case with wear and paint loss on the edges and corners of the case. As noted the latches, carrying strap and hinges are all in fine working order. The stenciled markings on top and inside of the lid are clear and intact. It may upgrade your existing case as many show extensive wear!
