Description:

This is a fine example of a scarce pre-war Polish Radom model 1935 pistol. After the fall of Poland in 1939 these Radom pistols became a secondary issue pistol and was widely issued to the Wehrmacht throughout WWII. These early pistols can be distinguished by the Polish Eagle and "1938" date on the side of the slide and no German/Nazi proof marks. This pistol has the correct three levers; decocking lever, slide stop and takedown lever on the left side of the slide and frame. The rear of the frame is milled for the shoulder stock slot (not included). The left side of the slide is marked "F.B. RADOM/1938r" followed by the Polish Eagle and "VIS-wz.35/pat. Nr.15567". The serial number "27450" is located on the right side of the frame above the trigger and on the underside of the slide inside the slide rail. The barrel is marked on the left side of the lug with: "8,81" and "S N 2" on the right sides. The left side of the trigger guard bow has a small circled, "B/8" proof. The grips have "VIS" molded into the right grip and "FB" into the left and it is complete with a correct unmarked all blue wartime magazine.

Rating Definition:

Very fine overall with 80% plus of the original blue finish still intact overall with edge and high spot wear with thinning on the front and rear grip straps, the front edge of the trigger guard bow, with a small spot of finish loss on the right side of the slide. The grips are in very fine condition with nice original markings and sharp distinct checkering on both sides. A very fine example of a prewar Polish Radom pistol.
