Developed in 1892, with the "E.F.B. / LUNA" marking on the left side of the frame, and the "GUSTAV KOTTE/ZEITZ" makers marks on the upper quarter flats of the "BOHLER STAHL" barrel. The front sight is a detachable blade on a long ramp, with a screw-adjustable notch rear sight. German proofs are present on the barrel, frame and breechblock, with a trigger set lever and a pair of takedown switches on the left side of the frame, screw-adjustable trigger, and a breech lever on the butt. Fitted with a smooth Schnabel tip forearm and a heavily contoured right handed grip.
Very good as period refinished, with 95% of the current blue, showing some mild handling marks and a small amount of scattered pitting. The wood is very good, with a small amount of filler on the right panel, mended cracks on the left, and mild chipping and dings overall. Mechanically needs adjustment.
