Produced by an unknown maker, this pistol is marked with an assortment of seemingly random strings of letters along with the occasional "U.S.A." (sic), and the numbers on the tangent rear sight are randomly assigned and go higher than you can actually move the slider. Additionally, the pistol appears to combine a number of different styled components with a grip and trigger arrangement inspired by either a Mannlicher pistol or early Spanish product and a straight blowback-driven slide that appears patterned off the receiver of a Mauser broomhandle. Fitted with blade front and tangent rear sights, a small ring Mauser style hammer, smooth trigger, checkered grips, and a side-mounted magazine release button.
Fine with 60% of the original blue finish showing areas of gray and brown patina, mild spotting and scattered handling marks. The grips are very good with a few light dings. Mechanically very good. This pistol has broad appeal in that it would fit nicely in both a Mauser or Mannlicher pistol collection!
