This is a very nice example of a late WWII Underwood manufacture M1 carbine that has been converted to a fully automatic "M2" carbine using the some original and commercial M2 components. The rear receiver ring is marked: "UNDERWOOD/6135620" with the front ring marked "U.S. CARBINE/CAL .30 M1". It is currently fitted with an WWII Winchester marked replacement barrel stamped on top with a: "W/circled WP proof". It has a mix of early and late GI parts and is currently fitted with a late production round bolt, type three barrel band, flip safety and the late style adjustable rear sight. It has a commercial replacement M1A1 folding paratrooper stock and two rivet handguard. This desirable carbine is complete with an original M4 carbine bayonet and scabbard, 5 each, 30 round magazines, 3 each, 20 round magazines, a green canvas sling and green canvas magazine pouch.
Very fine as arsenal refurbished/converted with 98% of the parkerized finish overall with edge and high spot wear showing light firing and use. The stock is in very good condition with signs of sanding and some alteration on the left side cutout. The magazine are all in excellent condition with 95% of their blue finish and the bayonet is in good condition with only 20% of the blued finish on the blade.
