Manufactured in 1904, chambered for the .30-40 Krag/.30 Army/.30 U.S. cartridge and equipped with a pinned blade front sight, adjustable sporting rear sight (elevator absent), Lyman receiver mounted peep sight, and deluxe checkered walnut stock and forearm with ebony Schnabel tip insert. The butt is marked with "94/18965" and "new" is hand marked on the inside of the forearm. The barrel has the two line nickel steel marking on the left and "30 U.S." at the breech. The Winchester address and patent marking is on the left side of the receiver. The upper tang has the two-line model designation and the serial number is on the lower tang. The inside of the lever handle has pyramid and moon markings.
