Built on a Fabrique Nationale Model 98 Action with standard Belgian proofs and dated "1954" below the wood line. Fitted with a heavy tapered barrel manufactured without sights. The barrel is marked "No. 2344 GRIFFIN & HOWE INC. NEW YORK". The standard receiver markings have been matted, and the receiver has been drilled, tapped and mounted with a one piece Redfield scope base and a Lyman All-American 10x Permacenter scope. The bolt and follower have been brilliantly jeweled. The walnut stock features multi-point checkering at the forend and pistol grip with a contrasting ebony forearm cap, blue steel grip cap, shadow line cheek piece, inset sling swivel studs and a checkered steel buttplate.
