Manufactured in 1937 and shipped to the Edwards & Walker Company of Portland, Maine, on October 4th of that year and subsequently custom embellished. Blade front and adjustable rear sights, with the two-line address and patent dates on the left side of the slide, Colt Ace/caliber markings on the right, and fine engraving over 75% of the surface. Primarily American-style punch dot backed scrollwork, the engraving also includes wavy border lines, floral accents around the trigger and rear sight, and a fine multi-point buck head on top of the slide. Mechanical features are standard, with a set of eagle carved grips and two Service Model magazines (one standard, one engraved to match). Also included with the pistol is a green felt lined hardwood case, a spare recoil spring, a sealed box of Western 22LR ammunition, parts list (November 1934 edition) and a factory letter.

Fine as professionally custom engraved and embellished with 98% of the current factory quality blue showing a few minor handling marks. The engraved magazine base shows some light pitting. Grips are fine with a few light nicks along the edges, sharply cut eagles, and attractive color. The case is good with some stains and wear on the lining. Mechanically excellent.
