This was the standard Swiss sniper rifle that was developed in 1955 as an improvement/upgrade over the older K31/42 and K31/43 series of rifles. The rifle was based on the proven Swiss K31 straight pull rifles, selected for accuracy with improved stock and handguard, center mounted folding bipod, unique special built muzzle brake, and front sight assembly. These rifles were all fitted with the improved KERN 3.5X sniper scope with integral mount with the top of the scope marked "3259/KERN AARAU/v=3.5/<)=75 0/00". This rifle has all matching numbers to include the scope and scope can. There were approximately 4,150 manufactured total making this a scarce and desirable rifle.
Very fine with 80% of the blue finish overall, thinning on the exposed barrel. The stock and handguard both show numerous scuffs and handling marks from actual field service use. The scope retains 98% of its original blue finish overall with clear sharp optics. There is a very small import mark on the side of the exposed barrel. As noted this rifle has all matching numbers including the scope, scope can and complete rifle. A rare opportunity to own a very scarce/rare Swiss Sniper rifle.
