Collector's Lot of Two Japanese Military Handguns

A) Scarce Squareback Variation April 1945 Production Nagoya Arsenal Type 94 Semi-Automatic Pistol

Dated April 1945 (Showa 20.4), with squareback breech bolt fixed sights, checkered grips and straw finished small parts. The grips are smooth, with a full-blue magazine numbered to match the pistol.

ConditionExcellent overall, with 90% of the blue finish, showing some mild handling marks, bright edge wear and spotting. The overall fit and finish of the pistol is on the crude side, typical of late-WWII Japanese military hardware. Grips are very fine, with some dents and scuffs. Mechanically excellent.

B) Tokyo Arsenal Type 26 Double-Action Revolver

Produced between 1894 and 1923. Fixed sights, with the arsenal stamp, model nomenclature and serial number on the right side of the frame. Smooth trigger and bobbed nitre blue hammer. Checkered grips, with a lanyard swivel on the butt.

ConditionFine, with 70% of the arsenal refurbished blue finish, showing areas of brown patina, scattered spotting, and mild edge wear and handling marks. Strong nitre blue is present on the hammer, and some light dings are present on the grips. Mechanically very good.
