According to included factory letter, this pistol was part of a 2000-piece order delivered to the Port Transportation Officer at the New York Port of Embarkation in Brooklyn on 4 December 1944. Part of the military equipment supplied to Great Britain under the Lend-Lease Act, many of these Colt Pocket Hammerless Pistols were issued to the Special Operations Executive (SOE), which was responsible for British clandestine activity in all fields of the war. Fixed sights, with the one-block address patent dates on the left side of the slide ahead of the Rampant Colt, Birmingham proof stamps on the barrel, slide and frame, tonnage marks on the barrel, a crossed scepter stamp and "U.S. PROPERTY" on the right side of the frame and an Ordnance "crossed cannon" stamp on the left . With a pair of checkered medallion grips, two two-tone magazines, cleaning rod, one-page parts list/instruction sheet and an unmarked brown cardboard box. Also included with the pistol is a black leather post-1955 "General Officer" style holster.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, with 95% of the parkerized finish, showing a few light scratches and handling marks. The grips are very fine with a few dings and verdigris spots. The reproduction box is good and the holster shows mild wear. Mechanically excellent. The holster is fine overall with visible stress lines.
