Description:

This functional replica is signed "Made by/Karl Furr & Paul J. Kuhni/Orem UT. June 1976" on the bottom of the action. The 1893 is an evolution of Richard Gatling's original 1862 design. Original examples were manufactured in limited numbers in the 1890s and were a shortened version of the "Bulldog" Gatling with an in-line crank handle and manually powered Accles drum magazine. They were marketed towards police forces as civil defense/anti-riot weapons. The overall length is just shy of one foot and it stands 20 inches from the base of the tri-pod to the top of the magazine. The top of the body is engraved with a reproduction of the original Gatling markings and indicates this is serial number 29. It has post and elevation adjustable notch sights offset to the right side. The tripod is also adjustable for elevation and rotates.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. The brass has some minor marks and varying degrees of attractive aged patina. Some areas such as the front and rear face of the magazine are more bright. The action functions fine.
