Description:

Measuring 20 inches in overall length, this is a fine copy of the Model 1874 Gatling Gun, scaled down cycle and fire a 22 caliber cartridge. The maker is unknown, but it compares well to known examples of Furr Arms gatlings that have been offered for sale before. Overall construction is brass, with bright steel barrels, with the serial number repeated on many components and a scaled copy of the original Gatling/Colt patent and address plate on the gear assembly. The gun is gravity fed through a Broadwell drum with 16 feed slots, and an "auto-traverse" field sweeping mechanism is integrated into the crank handle and elevation hardware. With a brass and hardwood carriage, 18 inches high and 24 inches wide at the wheels and 28 inches long, with folding seat and full traverse and elevation hardware.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. The barrels show some light spotting, with a slightly tarnished patina on the brass. The wood is also very fine showing a few light dents and handling marks on left side. Trail handle is bent however it could be easily straightened. Mechanically excellent (but unfired).
