Description:

Manufactured in 1900. It has the standard Winchester markings, a pinned high blade front sight and adjustable notch rear sight, and standard smooth walnut stock and forearm with ebony tip insert. The majority of the Model 1895s produced were the 7.62x54r Russian muskets. The .303 British caliber was added to the Model 1895 line in 1898 and is rare compared to the more common Russian and American calibers.

Rating Definition:

Very good. 30% of the fading original blue finish remains. There is brown and gray patina on the balance along with some spotting. One of the peep sight mounting screws on the upper tang is absent, and the front sight is a replacement. The wood is good with mild scratches and scrapes, minor pressure marks, and a couple slight chips. The action functions fine, and the markings are crisp.
