The factory decreased the rate of rifling twist in to 1:16 when chambered for the .32 Winchester Special in order to reduce fouling when used with hand loaded black powder cartridges.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. 70% plus of the original blue finish remains with patches of flaked finish primarily on the receiver and a brown patina taking its place. The lever and hammer retain 60% strong original case colors. The buttplate has primarily a brown patina with mild pitting and oxidation. The wood is fine with some scrapes and gouges/dents. The action functions fine, and the markings are crisp.
