Description:

Produced by an unknown gunsmith, this pistol is a well-made copy of Walther's early semi-automatic pistols, unmarked aside from a repeating "19" on the barrel, chamber, and magazine base. Notes from the consignor suggest that it may have been captured in the field from a Japanese soldier during the Battle of Saipan. European-style semi-automatics were popular sidearms for high-ranking Imperial Army officers, who were required to privately purchase their handguns. Patridge blade front and dovetailed notch rear sights, with an unmarked safety switch, smooth trigger and checkered grips. A must have for a serious Walther collector!

Rating Definition:

Very fine with 80% of the original blue finish showing some light brown spotting, bright edge wear and scattered handling marks. Grips are fine with some tool marks on the screws and mild scuffing. Mechanically excellent.
