Manufactured circa 1928-1933, the Plus Ultra (Latin: "Further Beyond", personal motto of Holy Roman Emperor Charles V) took the Llama hammerless pistol and upsized it with an extended barrel and a long, wide grip to accommodate a 20-round double stack magazine. An impressive package of firepower for its day. The Plus Ultra found buyers with Chinese warlords, Imperial Japanese pilots, and fighters of the International Brigades. Fixed sights, the model and caliber markings on the slide, matching numbers on the slide and frame and checkered extended grips.

Fine with 50% of the blue finish showing areas of brown and gray patina, scattered spotting and dents. Traces of red enamel paint are present along the upper edges of the frame, purpose unknown. Grips are fine with a chip on lower right rear, some dings and scuffs. Mechanically excellent.
