Manufactured in 1909 (receiver). The rifle has been fitted with a replacement Model 65 barrel in 218 Bee caliber, which has the standard markings, raised ramp front and adjustable semi buck horn rear sights. The upper tang is marked with the three-line model/maker/trademark marking, and the serial number appears on the bottom of the receiver. All blue finish and mounted with a smooth walnut forearm with a metal forend cap and replacement straight grip stock with a checkered metal shotgun buttplate.

Poor as partially refinished (the receiver) and assembled. The receiver retains most of the poorly applied blue finish with moderate pitting visible under the finish. The left side of the receiver has two drilled holes, more than likely for a receiver sight. The barrel retains 90% original blue finish with some muzzle wear and thinning near the muzzle. The wood is very good with most of the original varnish remaining and some scattered minor dings. Clear markings. The action is fine.
