This is a fine example of a U.S. Fire Arms Colt Lightning reproduction with a fixed Lyman style beaded blade front and elevation adjustable rear sporting sights on the part octagon barrel. The top of the barrel is marked with the standard two-line U.S. Firearms address and Colt patent dates. The top of the barrel nearer the breech is stamped "44 Cal.". The major components are a highly polished blue finish, and the hammer is vibrantly casehardened. With a multi-point checkered walnut forearm and smooth straight grip stock and a blue steel crescent buttplate.

Excellent with 99% original blue finish and only minimal light handling marks. The wood is excellent. Mechanically excellent.
