Introduced in 2004, the SCAR was fielded as a competitor to replace the M16/M4 platform as well as the U.S. military's assorted 7.62mm battle/designated marksman rifles. 1/7" twist barrel with a proprietary FN flash hider and a flip-up front sight on the gas black, with a quad-rail forearm, an EOTech L3 red dot and flip-off magnifier combination and a windage/elevation adjustable flip-up peep sight. The receiver is equipped with a reversible cocking handle, right handed bolt catch, ambidextrous selector and magazine catch, and a folding adjustable buttstock. Magazine not included.
