This rifle was manufactured in 1930 and displays beautiful floral scroll factory engraving on the sides of the receiver and has additional engraving accents on the barrel at the breech and the top of the action. It is equipped with a beaded blade front sight dovetailed on a serrated ramp, flat folding notch rear sight, and a folding/adjustable Lyman peep sight mounted on the receiver tang. The top of the barrel has the two-line address and patent marking followed by a larger "-SAVAGE-" marking, and the left side has "HI-PRESSURE STEEL" and "303-SAVAGE." The serial numbers on the barrel, forearm, and bottom of the receiver are matching. The forend and pistol grip stock have multi-point checkering, a Schnabel tip, hard rubber grip cap, and serrated shotgun buttplate.

Very fine. 98% plus of the original blue finish remains. Nearly all of the vivid case colors remain on the lever. There are some minor marks and scratches and a few small spots of oxidation. The wood is very fine as repaired above lever attachment base. It has crisp checkering and minor marks from handling and storage on the balance of wood. Mechanically excellent. The engraving and markings are crisp.
