Description:

This carbine was manufactured in 1911 in scarce 30-30 caliber. Fitted with a fixed German silver beaded blade front sight, and an elevation adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sporting sight. There is a cocking indicator at the top of the receiver, a cartridge counter on the left side of the receiver and a safety on the right side of the lever. The top of the barrel has the two-line address and patent marking with the barrel steel and model marking on the left side. Mounted on a straight grain smooth walnut forearm with Schnabel tip and straight grip stock with matching serial number stamped under the checkered hard rubber buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with 85% plus original blue finish. There is cold blue visible on the chamber area of the receiver. Displaying some light edge wear, scattered surface scratches, mild surface spotting, and handling marks. The wood is also very fine with scattered small indentations, handling marks, and 85% of the original varnish finish. Mechanically excellent.
