This "Enfield" is marked "1863/TOWER" at the center of the lock plate and has the Victorian crown over "VR" at the tail. There are various British proof, inspection, and property marks throughout. The underside of the barrel has some faint markings that include "SCOTT" and "HENRY." The barrel is equipped with five groove rifling, a fixed blade front sight, a stud for a saber bayonet, and a notch and folding ladder rear sight graduated 1-4 on the base and 5-950 on the ladder. It is fitted on a straight wrist stock with primarily brass fittings. Sling swivels are mounted to the front band and the bottom of the stock, and a slotted ramrod is fitted under the barrel.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The barrel retains 98% of the blue finish, and the lock has 97% plus vivid case colors. There are patches of mild oxidation and storage marks. The stock is also excellent and has a few dings and scratches. The lock functions fine and the markings are legible.
