This an excellent example of a late "d" block Walther manufactured K43 rifle that is equipped with a ZF4 sniper scope. The left side of the receiver is marked "K43" followed by "ac/45" (stacked) followed by serial number "992d". The right side receiver flat is correctly stamped with an "eagle/359" Waffenampt proof. The rifle has a late war type three, rough forged receiver with the dual bolt guides. It is fitted with a type three rough cast bolt carrier with the reinforcing web on the front end (only), and it still retains the hold open latch with the hollow cocking knob. It has a stamped action cover with the sliding, manual dust cover. It is fitted with a late war laminated stock and handguard version with the single "eagle/359" Waffenampt proof on the right side below the sling slot and single smaller ones in the pistol grip area. It comes with a single black painted K43 marked magazine with a single "WaA843" Waffenampt proof. The rifle is complete with a cleaning rod and a sheet metal front sight cover. The rifle is fitted with a late war, very rough cast K43 sniper mount and a ZF4 scope. The mount is numbered "3384" on the front end with a single "eagle/359" proof below the locking lever. The scope is marked "K43/81326/ddx". The scope has a rubber eyecup and an amber filter. The rifle has a gray phosphated finish on the action and receiver, and a blued barrel and trigger guard.

Very fine with 97% of the wartime gray phosphate finish overall on the action/receiver/top cover and the blued barrel and trigger guard. The lightly sanded stock and handguard are also both in fine condition with their light natural color laminated wood finish with a hint of sanding on top of the comb area. The scope mount shows rough casting/pitting overall having browned out, and the scope has no original and clear markings. The optics are a little cloudy. A very fine example of a late WWII German K43 rifle fitted with a ZF4 sniper scope and mount.
