Description:

The K. K. Wehrsportgewehr rifles were the standard pre-war training rifles used by the German military and were intended to duplicate the weight and feel of the standard K98 rifle. The top of the receiver ring is marked with a block "G" logo over "GUSTLOFF-WERKE / Waffenwerk-Suhl." The right side of the receiver is marked " KK. WEHRSPORTGEWEHR," and the left side of the barrel is marked "KAL 22 LANGE FUR BUCHSEN", followed by the serial number and the "eagle/N" proofmark. The "eagle / N" is also marked on the left side of the receiver. The stock is a European walnut with two barrel bands, handguard, bayonet lug, sling swivels, leather sling, and steel buttplate. It has a military style tangent rear sight graduated to 200 meters. The rear sight ladder and base are numbered "277."

Rating Definition:

Excellent. 90% plus of the original blue finish remains. Most of the fading/loss is on the trigger guard. The stock and handguard are both very fine and have numerous minor dings and scratches. The action functions fine, and the markings are crisp.
