Catalog Page: 288
Class: Curio & Relic Handgun
Description:

Introduced in 1910, the Model 3 draws heavily from the design of the Walther Model 2, though with a reconfigured ejection port. Blade front and slide groove rear sights, with "crown/N" proofs on the slide and barrel, the Walther banner on the left side of the slide beneath the one-line caliber and patent markings, deeply cut slide serrations, external extractor, an extended barrel, checkered "CW" monogram grips and a nickel magazine. This particular Model 3 is photographed, described, and identified by serial number on page 30 of "Walther Volume III 1908-1980" by James Rankin, where the extended barrel and presence of the Walther banner marking are called out as being atypical for the model.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with 90% of the original blue finish, showing some bright edge wear on the bottom forward area of the slide, areas of brown patina and mild handling marks and spotting. The grips are very good modern replacements with some dents and scuffs. Mechanically excellent.
