Collector's Lot of Two U.S. Military Double Action Revolvers

A) U.S. Colt Army Model 1917 Double Action Revolver

Manufactured in 1919. Standard fixed blade and frame notch rear sights. The left side of the barrel is marked "COLT D.A. 45" and "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" is marked on the bottom. The left side of the frame is marked with the standard Rampant Colt logo just above the grip and a circled "JMH" final inspection mark forward of the trigger. The butt is correctly marked "U.S./ARMY/MODEL/1917" over the serial number with a lanyard loop.

ConditionFine. 75% original blue finish remains with some edge and high point wear, small surface scratches, handling marks, small areas of pin point pitting on the right side of the frame, and a mottled brown patina on the grip straps. The trigger shows a few circular marks where a shoe may have been installed. The sanded and re-oiled grips have small handling marks, light pressure indentations, and small chips at the toe of each panel. Mechanically excellent.
