Manufactured in 1923. The left side of the barrel has the two line address/patent date marking and "44 WCF". The correct Winchester factory proof is stamped on top of the barrel and receiver at the breech. The upper tang has the three-line model/trademark information and the underside of the frame has the serial number. Blade front sight, elevation adjustable rear sight and special order half magazine with the takedown release stamped with 1893 patent date. Smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate.

Excellent. The rifle retains 95% plus bright original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina. The wood is excellent with a couple of pressure dents visible on buttstock belly with some scattered minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
