Description:

Two-stage part-round and part-octagonal barrel marked at top flat of breech with Nurnberg Guild Mark of about 1585, and also with slightly obscured mark of a Rampant Unicorn, flared muzzle; flat lock-plate with deeply domed wheel-cover plate, the lock-plate itself struck clearly with the mark of AK (see Der Neue Stockel, no. 1890, page 656), engraved cock; the fruitwood stock entirely inlaid with bone dots framed by bone inlays and bone plaques engraved with a gentleman, others depicting eagles, a hunter with wheel-lock gun shooting at a bird in a tree; ball butt decorated en suite a divided into nine sections each inlaid with a grotesque face, the whole completed by a bone roundel butt cap

Fine, barrel with a dark grey-brown patina overall, lock-plate with lighter patina, breech tang repaired and upon removing lock, the pistol’s stock was evidently very well restored from an old break, expected areas of wear on stock overall
