An outgrowth of the civilian "Luftsportverband", the Nationalsozialistisches Fliegerkorps (NSFK) was established in 1937, and served as a paramilitary training arm and reserve unit for the Luftwaffe, producing glider troops, pilots, and radiomen. 12 1/4 inches in overall length, with a 6 7/8 inch blade bearing the etched Clemen & Jung trademark, aged silver fittings, winged cross guard with black enamel swastikas, and a blue leather grip. The sheath is also blue leather wrapped, with "02" and a NSFK eagle stamp atop the throat.
